Two settings, one day… from the gardens of Hyde Park to the heart of Mayfair.
The Venues
The Serpentine Pavilion
Serpentine South Gallery, Kensington Gardens, London W2 3XA
It is here, in this meeting place of art and nature, that we will hold our ceremony.
For those of you who might not be familiar with the Serpentine Pavilion, we’d love to tell you more about it.
Each summer, the Serpentine gallery invites a visionary architect who has never built in the UK before, to create a temporary structure in the heart of Kensington Gardens. Since 2000, the commission has welcomed some of the most significant names in contemporary architecture, including Zaha Hadid and Frank Gehry - a building made for one season, yet remembered long after.
This year’s Pavilion was designed by LANZA atelier, the Mexico City-based studio whose design draws from the serpentine wall: a curving brick structure with origins in ancient Egypt, later found throughout the English countryside. Its wave-like form echoes the nearby Serpentine lake, creating a quiet dialogue between architecture, garden, and water.
Langan’s Brasserie
Stratton St, Mayfair, W1J 8LB
From Kensington Gardens, we will make our way to Langan’s - a London institution in the heart of Mayfair. Elegant and unmistakably alive, Langan’s carries the spirit of the city with ease: a place for dinner and dancing as the evening slips beautifully into night.
